Women is the best creation of god. She is bestowed with beauty, grace, elegance and intelligence by the god for the welfare of humankind. But unfortunately our society is not only exploiting but is being brutal to this beautiful creation of god. The report of National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) shows that the rate of crime against women has increased by 13.5 points from 2012 to 2016. The latest report of the NCRB says that “Cruelty by husband or his relatives” was the most reported crime against women, accounting for 33%, assault on women with intent to outrage her modesty accounting for 25%, kidnapping and abduction 19% and rape 11% of all crimes against women in India. Among all the metropolitan cities Delhi has the highest percentage of crime against women (33%) followed by Bengaluru (8.2%).
